On the weekends, teenagers hang loose, party, relax, and just try to have fun, unfortunately, most parents do not understand. Teenagerââ¬â¢s number one goal is to not get caught, therefore hey put a lot of thought in to this process. Even though most of the time teens do get caught in the act, every teenager should know at least one way of sneaking out of the house. Every teenager should know at least one way of sneaking out of the house. Teens put a lot of thought in to sneaking out, they must consider their area situation, disciese themselves, take chances, and be prepared. Most importantly is sneaking back in. As teens put a lot of thought into sneaking out, their number one goal is to not get caught. First, the teen needs to have an emergency excuse ready, in case the teen does get caught. Second, they must remember what time theyââ¬â¢re parents usually go to bed, or if they have to stay up late to finish some paperwork etc. Teenagers should remember two important things before sneaking out. One, they need to stuff soft, bulky items, such as stuffed animals, clothes, etc. under their covers to show that the teen is safe and sound in bed. Two, if they do sneak out at night and leave a door or window unlocked, you leave theyââ¬â¢re parents home vulnerable to a home-invasion robbery/break-in. The lives of theyââ¬â¢re family could be in jeopardy. Anyway, letââ¬â¢s say theyââ¬â¢re parents are sound aslee p. The first step would be figuring out how the teenager would get out of their room. An important factor in getting out of the room would be where the room even is, whether itââ¬â¢s downstairs, upstairs or on the main floor. If the room is upstairs, you either would go out the window with a roof, or a tree to climb down. They could also go down the stairs and to one of the doors. Itââ¬â¢s easier to go out the window, but noise is key. The teen canââ¬â¢t wake up their parents, or any of their siblings in order not to get caught. If the room is downstairs, then its as easy as going out the front door, though sometimes parents have a security system installed in case of a break in, or to even prevent teens in sneaking out. The teen could also go out another door, like the back. Say the parents do have a security system; the teen has no choice but to go out a window carefully and quietly. The teen needs to make sure and have a friend meet them down the block so the lights of the car in the drive way doesnââ¬â¢t bother the parents, and gets the teen caught. After getting out of the house, getting back in is also very tricky, and most important. In order to complete a mission in sneaking out, the teen must get out and get back in without getting caught, thatââ¬â¢s the point. After the teen feels successful in getting out, they go out and have fun. When they arrive back home,they need to come in the same way they got out. If the teen came out the window, they should have cracked it and left it semi-open to re-enter the home. If there is any light on in the house, and the teen is sure that they have gotten caught, they need to call home immediately and used their emergency excuse for a cover up. If not, the teen would re- enter the home through the middle floor window in this case. Once the teen is back in his or her room, they must clean up anything that may put them in jeopardy in getting caught. The teen needs to get in bed, and go straight to sleep. If the teen would want to wash their face, take a shower, etc. , they may get themselves caught, so the recommendation for that would be not to do it. Finally, the teen makes it home, safe and sound without getting caught. Most teenagers know that sneaking out is key when it comes to the end of the week especially since parents are getting stricter and grounding a lot more. On the weekends, teenagers like to just have fun and stay out with their other friends, unfortunately, most parents do not understand this concept. Teenagerââ¬â¢s number one goal is to not get caught; therefore they put a lot of thought in to this process. Most teens do get caught, but every American teenager should know at least one way of sneaking out of their house.

Haemorrhage has been cited as the most important reason for death after trauma (Lerner & Soudry 2011). In the protocol used for managing a trauma patient, circulation is now being given increased importance. The treatment procedure has changed from ABC to ABC to highlight the significance of controlling blood loss (Brodie et al. 2007). These changes are also being introduced into training programs for military trauma nurses. A device used in such cases is tourniquet. Tourniquets are devices which can reduce arterial and venous flow by compressing it. In the UK, tourniquets are a part of the personal first aid kits of soldiers going to the field. They are encouraged to make use of tourniquets when faced with excessive amounts of blood loss. Animal testing refers to the submission of the laboratory animals (animals such as mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs among others) for experiments to the medical researches for instance in the drug testing and vaccine production, in testing of domestic products, industrialized chemicals, agricultural chemicals, pesticides and paints among others.The animal welfare activists have shown that animal experimenters waste both human and animal lives, as they tend to infect animals with human diseases where as their body seldom serve as good models for the human bodies.These laboratory animals have been deliberately bred for apparently boundless diversity of experimental trials in fields ranging from biological studies, psychological experiences, pharmacology, and physiology to genetic manipulation.In this paper we try to analyze the importance of using laboratory animals and if they save human lives. Break of Day in the Trenches Analysis Essay
In the poem, ââ¬Å"Break of Day in the Trenchesâ⬠, the author, Isaac Rosenberg shows the theme that endless conflict leads emotionally numb soldiers to snap, through the literary devices, tone and personification. Tone is used by Rosenberg to furthermore reveal the theme in this poem. The two that he uses are musing and contemplative tones. The author uses the air of musing in this poem throughout the beginning few lines of the poem. When a soldier is immersed into war they are exposed to the death of their friends and peers, they are taken from their family, and they are forced to repel any emotions. The soldier who is telling his story is sitting in the war trench at sunrise or in his words, the ââ¬Å"druid Timeâ⬠. The Druids are an ancient civilization who at sunrise made sacrifices to their gods. This leads readers to believe that the soldier is sitting among what could be interpreted the human ââ¬Å"sacrificesâ⬠that war had taken. Around him there are soldiers lying dead for seemingly no good reason. To be talking in the tone of curiosity rather than pain and horror in that situation, it shows that he has numbed himself to the feelings that would naturally come to him because he is so used to seeing the display of death. The other tone that is used by the author is a tone of contemplation. Rosenberg shifts from talking to himself, to directly addressing the rat, asking questions and drawing his own conclusions. The soldier gets more and more demanding of the rat as the poem goes on, eventually asking it, what do the eyes of mankind say. The soldier uses the rat to ask all of these questions because he knows he shouldnââ¬â¢t be thinking emotionally. He canââ¬â¢t control himself and he has to let off steam by talking to a rat, which canââ¬â¢t respond or judge him. He then has a final break in his mind, using the death of a poppy to symbolize death of soldiers. He says, ââ¬Å"Poppies whose roots are in manââ¬â¢s veins/ Drop and are ever dropping;/ But mine in my ear is safe-/ Just a little while white with the dust. â⬠He had just picked the poppy from the parapet, taking it from its nutrients causing it to stop growing. This is ironic because the flower, though safe from being trampled, is already a dying cause, just like him. He gives up and lets know, even while knowing he is going to die, he chooses to numb his emotions again, and move on till his day comes. The shift from controlled and nonchalant to inquisition and back to control shows the struggle that soldiers had to face and the fact that the idea of emotional numbness is flawed. Personification is rarely used in this poem, but when it is used it has powerful meaning behind it. The two areas personification is used is when he talks about the sleeping green and the queer, sardonic, and droll rat. The green grass is given the personification of sleeping to reflect the death of the soldiers who lay on it. As a whole, the soldier is referring to No Manââ¬â¢s Land. The second personification is used on the rat. The rat is given the human qualities of being sarcastic, odd, and amusing. The idea of personification is to give a feeling to something incapable of human-like qualities. Feeling shouldnââ¬â¢t be a part of a soldierââ¬â¢s thoughts. This goes to show that the use of personification is a way for the soldier to reflect his feelings on something else. War is too emotionally scarring for you to not have an emotional reaction to it. In essence, the poem, ââ¬Å"Break of Day in the Trenchesâ⬠, Isaac Rosenberg uses tone and personification to show the theme that endless conflict makes it impossible for soldiers to completely suppress their emotions. The shifts in tone that the author wrote showed the struggle from controlled to a mix of emotions, then back to control and acceptance. The personification shows that the soldier needed something to project his feelings onto because he couldnââ¬â¢t handle not being allowed to talk about them, causing him to talk to a rat for consolation.

Comparing Dali, Miro and Munch essays The paintings featured in this assignment are all similar because they all offer an insight into the artists mind and what there thinking of feeling. They achieve this using a number of different techniques, but the most notable aspect of the three of the paintings examined in this assignment is they all create a scene that is not exactly abstract, that is the viewer of the painting can easily recognise most objects in focus. But the scene painted has been warped into an unnatural, dream-like state. The three paintings that will be reviewed in this assignment are; The Carnival of Harlequin, The Persistence of Memory and The Scream. The Scream was painted in 1893 by Edvard Munch. It was created using Tempera and pastel on board and is 91 x 73.5 cm. The painting is Edvard Munch's most famous work. This painting is a reflection of an incident that happened to Munch as he was walking with friends in Oslo, an entry from his diary on the 22 January 1892. It reads, "I was walking along the road with two friends. I stopped, and leaned against the railing, deathly tired - looking out across the flaming clouds that hung like blood and a sword over the blue-black fjord and town. My friends walked on - I stood there, trembling with fear. And I sensed a great, infinite scream pass through nature." This painting is different from the other paintings reviewed in this assignment because its main purpose seems to be to foreground an emotion rather than a concept or an idea.
